GoodLife Brewing Begins Canning

The canned craft beer revolution marches on! The newest participant is Bend's GoodLife Brewing. They'll soon be releasing Descender IPA and Sweet As Pacific Ale in 12 oz. cans. While I enjoy (good) beer in cans, I'm a bigger fan of the shift to distributing beer in smaller serving sizes.

Until now, GoodLife distributed its beer in 22 oz. bottles at retail. I tend not to buy many bombers. As a result, I haven't tried either of these beers. Now that GoodLife is packaging in a smaller size, I'll be sure to give these a try.

GoodLife Brewing:  Central Oregon’s First Brewery To Can

BEND, OR (Tuesday, March 12th, 2013)  Being outdoor enthusiasts living in a mountain town, canning beer was a natural fit for GoodLife Brewing. This week, GoodLife will be the first brewery in Central Oregon to can its beer when it releases Descender IPA in 12oz/6 packs.
Initially, Descender IPA will be available with limited distribution in Central Oregon and Portland, which were the first two GoodLife markets.  GoodLife’s Ty Barnett said, “Canning beer is something we’ve talked about doing since day 1.  We think it’s a natural fit for our brand and our geographic location.”
