The 2012 Oregon Garden Brewfest kicks off in Silverton, OR, in four weeks! Some of the marquee Portland brewfests tend to feature limited release beers brewed specifically for the festivals. While these are unique and usually great beers, it can be challenging (if not impossible) to find your favorites after the events are over.
Most of the beers and ciders at the Oregon Garden Brewfest are widely distributed throughout Oregon. So this will be a great opportunity to sample nearly 95 handcrafted beers and ciders that you can easily buy after the brewfest is over! The full taplist is listed below. I'm impressed by the number of cider offerings and expect I'll be sampling quite a few of those!
The festival will be held on April 27 - 28. For more details, check out the Oregon Garden Brewfest website. Click here to see the Brewers' Tasting Dinner Menu.

now thats one good looking list, can' wait
I have gone to this in the past. I am VERY excited to go again!!!
See everyone there!
The list keeps on growing! Great to see.
what no rogue????
No Rogue - no loss. Rogue is a pretentious, out of touch company. They have rested on their laurels for way too long and have priced themselves out of most true Oregonian micro beer lovers refrigerators. We have so many fantastic breweries on this list that they (Rogue) will not be missed...
I'm really looking forward to this festival! It will also be my first time at The Oregon Garden.
Regarding Rogue, I just realized I have not profiled a single Rogue beer on my blog. Kind of strange considering I've reviewed 222 beers to date. The omission was not intentional. I tend to favor beers available in 12 oz bottles and most Rogue beers (with the exception of Dead Guy Ale) are available in bombers.
Eh, don't be too harsh on Rogue. The steps one needs to take to grow sometimes alienates a segment of the market. Trying to be a successful business isn't easy. That being said, the bigger Oregon brewers _should_ be there to represent the growing success of the local beer industry. And it would make some people happy if they didn't make a big display out of it (their success) and came with a jockey box and two upcoming brews.
Don't be all sour grapes. It's not cool. Maybe you should be advocating Rogue to come to festivals and talk beer with like minded individuals if you think they've strayed.
As for me, I'm in NY and I won't be going to the festival. Which is a shame, because I'm almost out of the suitcase of beer I brought over after my last visit to Oregon. Every bottle different. I loved the beer from Amnesia that was in canning jars :) -Dan
Kuddos and well said Dan.
Surprising there are no any breweries participating from Hood River, or the Gorge generally. And even more surprising, Boneyard Brewing, perhaps the best newer brewery in the PNW, is not either. I love FW, Stone, Kona, and Lagunitas, but after all this is the OREGON Garden brewfest.
Ok, I was wrong about the Gorge comment, I just saw Logsdon Farmhouse Ales on the list. But my other points remain.
