Of Pints and Men: The Art of Beer in Portland

In case you hadn't noticed, beer is a hobby of mine. Another favorite is photography. One of my fellow Portland beer bloggers, Matt Wiater of Portlandbeer.org, is an amazing photographer!  He and a few other local artists are launching a gallery exhibit that highlights the art of beer. Opening day is this Thursday, October 6.  So stop by on opening night, enjoy the stunning visuals, and get a taste of Deschutes' new Chainbreaker White IPA!  For more details, check out the full press release below.

Gigantic Gallery Presents The Art of Beer in Portland

September 28th 2011 - Portland, Oregon – Beer is happening all around us in Portland: brewing, fermenting, kegging, bottling, drinking, and barrel-aging are only some of the forms that beer takes.  This October, Gigantic Gallery presents Of Pints and Men, a month long show dedicated entirely to the art of beer through photography, paintings, and illustrations.  Come celebrate the art of beer with local artists: photographer Matt Wiater from portlandbeer.org, painter Ian Seniff, illustrator and designer Jonathon Hill-Jacquard, and photographer John Carleton.

Opening night is Thursday October 6th from 5:30pm - 10:00pm.  Plus, Deschutes Brewery has graciously donated a keg of Chainbreaker White IPA for the event.  So, just because you’re looking at great beer art doesn’t have to mean you’re not drinking great beer.  Come out and celebrate the many shapes, sizes and forms of beer!
