Description:  "A crisp, lightly hopped lager that finishes with a subtle citrus note." —  Southern Oregon Brewing Co.

Random thoughts:   In the past few months, I've gone from despising lagers to actively seeking them out. Today I'm sampling SOB's Northwest Lager.

The tasting:   Yellow, slightly hazy, with a white head that dissipated slowly.  Aroma of sweet bready malt, lemon citrus, and light floral hops.  Flavor very similar to the aroma with a very mild citrus hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied, with medium carbonation, Gold Digger has a crisp, effervescent mouth feel.  It finishes dry with mild floral hop bitterness.

Rating:  3 star.  Good.  I would drink this again if someone gives it to me.  I liked Gold Digger, but recently tasted and preferred SOB's Na Zdravi Czech Pilsner, which is their seasonal offering available through September.

Have you tried SOB's Gold Digger or Na Zdravi?  Which do you prefer?
