We interrupt this regularly scheduled beer blog....
Tulip Fest?!? What's up with that? Last Sunday, my wife and I took our boys to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR. This has nothing (almost) to do with beer. We enjoyed amazing scenery and I just wanted to share some pictures of flowers—not beer.
The Festival has been extended another week. So if you haven't been to this year's fest, you still have until May 8 to visit. Click here for all the details.
This actually IS a beer related post. At the festival, they're holding a mini-wine and beer tasting and were serving Gilgamesh's Mamba. This is a very unique beer made with black tea, rye, and NO hops. I first tasted it at the Spring Beer & Wine Fest a few weeks ago. It's very different—give it a try. There are also plenty of rides and free activities that will keep the kiddies busy.
