Tulip Fest '11

We interrupt this regularly scheduled beer blog....

Tulip Fest?!?  What's up with that?  Last Sunday, my wife and I took our boys to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR.  This has nothing (almost) to do with beer.  We enjoyed amazing scenery and I just wanted to share some pictures of flowersnot beer.

The Festival has been extended another week.  So if you haven't been to this year's fest, you still have until May 8 to visit.  Click here for all the details

This actually IS a beer related post.  At the festival, they're holding a mini-wine and beer tasting and were serving Gilgamesh's Mamba.  This is a very unique beer made with black tea, rye, and NO hops.  I first tasted it at the Spring Beer & Wine Fest a few weeks ago.  It's very differentgive it a try.  There are also plenty of rides and free activities that will keep the kiddies busy.

  1. Really! Will you design the logo for my new flower blog? I'll send you some home propogated tulip bulbs as compensation.
