Description: "Every year, fall’s crisp, cool air signals the imminent arrival of winter. Thoughts of snow, friends and family, the holidays, and — Jubelale. Brewed with dark crystal malt creating a luscious holiday note with bountiful hops to excite your taste buds— it’s easy to see why Jubelale is the perfect complement to the season." — Deschutes Brewery
Random thoughts: This is the eighth of my winter seasonal reviews. Every year, Deschutes selects a different Oregon artist to create the label artwork. This year's design is a stunner.
The tasting: Poured a dark reddish brown with a tan head, that left lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, fruit, and piney hops. Flavors include roasted malts, caramel and chocolate. Very nicely balanced with some spicy and piney hops. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. It also had a somewhat creamy mouth feel.
