My First Homebrew Calculus'ed

My very first homebrew is finally ready to drink.  I gave some bottles to a few friends and the first review is in.  You can see the details about my Red Ale homebrew

I went over to Hopville / Beer Calculus, entered the information about my beer, and it gave me the technical details:

  • Bitterness:  25 IBUs
  • Color:  10 degrees SRM (Gold to Copper)
  • ABV:  5.7%
  • Calories:  188 per 12 oz.

Oh, I finally named the beer.  First Try Red.  Couldn't think of anything too exciting...

My second homebrew, Charlie Papazian's Holiday Cheer is coming along nicely and should be ready to drink by Thanksgiving.  I've decided that my third batch will be a Black IPA / Cascadian Dark Ale.  Expect to brew it in a few weeks.
