Also, I'd like to introduce you to Eve, the official pinup girl of the 2010 Holiday Ale Festival. Looks like she's getting a jump start on sampling the fine festival ales. Don't worry about her attire (or lack thereof), the tents at the Festival are heated, so she'll be just fine. I just wonder why she isn't wearing any green or red...
Which ones are you most looking forward to sampling?
11/29 update: I sampled 13 of the beers during a media preview. See the details here.
10 Barrel Brewing Co
Pray For Snow
Alameda Brewing Co
Papa Noel's Moonlight Reseve
Kettle and dry hopping with East Kent Goldings imparts this ale with traditional British character. After fermentation it was aged with whiskey soaked French white oak spires, lending some dryness to the huge amount of Crystal malt employed in the grain bill. You may taste hints of toffee, raisins, chocolate or caramel.
Alaskan Brewing Co
Alaskan Barley Wine
This 2008 vintage Alaskan Barley Wine is a full bodied ale, mahogany in color and brewed with an array of complementing malts. Multiple hop additions in the boil and dry hopping during fermentation provide contrast to the big malt character resulting in the smooth balance that distinguishes this specialty brew.
Bear Republic Brewing Co
Ebeweesner Scrooge is a blend of many beers, including a smoked red ale, a barrel aged black beer and a portion of Bear Republic's own 'spank.'
Beer Valley Brewing

Barrel Aged Porter
A Baltic Porter aged in Bourbon barrels, this beer has a viscous body with hints of chocolate and molasses followed by a Bourbon barrel finish. Hopworks Urban Brewery
Kentucky Christmas began its life as Abominable Winter Ale before being gently whisked away to a cavern deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Here, outside the reach of modern communications, it was laid to rest in freshly emptied Buffalo Trace Kentucky Bourbon barrels where notes of vanilla and spice mixed with citrus and caramel.
